Luca Giovannini, born in 2000, graduated in 2017 with 10 Honors and Honorable Mention with Maestro Luca Simoncini.
He is currently a student at the Kronberg Academy in Frankfurt under the guide of M° F. Helmerson, these studies are financed by Ms Angela Winkler. He was a member of the cello excellence class of Maestro Gautier Capuçon at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, and at the R. Romanini Accademy of Brescia with Maestro G. Sollima.
He has won numerous prizes, many first absolute prizes: one of the most important was at the prestigious J. Brahms Competition Austria, (the only Italian to have won it), at the 16th edition of the T.I.M. in Paris, at the Grand Prize in Salzburgo, at the Rising Stars in Berlin, first with the “Maura Giorgetti” scholarship of the Philharmonic from the Teatro Alla Scala, at the 18th Valsesia Musica Juniores Competition, at the Castrocaro review of Best Graduates, at the “Crescendo” in Florence in the editions 2011, 2012, 2013, Competition City of Riccione, city of Legnago, “Adopt a musician” City of Forlì, City of Piove di Sacco, city of Giussano, at the “A. Zinetti” Sanguinetto (VR), at Palestrina in Castel San Giovanni, at Valsesia Musica Juniores, second at Ibla Gran Prize, second at Janigro in Croatia, third prize Alice & Eleonora Schoenfeld String Competition Harbin (China).
He took part in various master classes and collaborated with masters: Enrico Dindo, Giovanni Sollima, Pier Narciso Masi, Bruno Canino, Lynn Harrell, David Geringas, Danilo Rossi, Mischa Maisky, Ivan Monighetti, Massimo Quarta.
He performed as a soloist with the Padua and Veneto Orchestra, with the “I Virtuosi Italiani” Orchestra, with the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina Orchestra, with the City Philaharmonic of Tokyo, with the Venetian Soloists Orchestra. He has performed in important concert events, the “Verdi Talenti” season in Busseto, at the Gstaad String Academy (CH) and in various theaters – Brahms Saal des Musikvereines in Vienna, National Library of Catalonia Spain, Philharmonic Theater in Berlin, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Argenta Little Rock Arkansas Theater, Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimò in New York, Carnegie Hall in New York, Harbin (China) Opera House, Palazzo Cavagnis in Venice, Villa Houck Canton Ticino Switzerland, Sala Maffeiana (VR), Temple of the Blessed Virgin of Help ” Rotonda ”Rovigo, Sale Apollinee della Fenice in Venice,
the Ateneo Veneto Aula Magna Venice, the Accademia dei Concordi Rovigo, Villa Contarini Padova, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, he was also invited in two television
programs Rai1 and Rai 2 as a guest.
Luca plays an Ansaldo Poggi cello from 1927, kindly granted by Maestro Mario Brunello.
