Biography

Active since the late 1990s, Julie's Haircut are a band devoted to spacious and hypnotic soundscapes. Over the years, they have evolved from the warm garage rock of their early work toward a more experimental eclecticism that blends rock and psychedelia with electronic music and minimalism, enriched by echoes of jazz, ethnic music, dub, and drone.
Throughout their career they have collaborated with artists such as Damo Suzuki, Sonic Boom, Philip Corner, and Valerio Cosi.
