Biography

A devoted protégé of Eduardo De Filippo, she has worked with some of Italy’s most distinguished directors, from Peppino Patroni Griffi to Lluís Pasqual, from Roberto De Simone to Armando Pugliese, among many others, and has received the “Oscar of Italian theatre” along with numerous other honors.
She represented Eduardo at the Louvre in Paris. She performed as Filumena Marturano alongside Luca De Filippo, directed by Franco Rosi. She has portrayed La Lupa, Medea, and Assunta Spina. She starred in Blood Wedding.
Her repertoire also includes several works by Luigi Pirandello, as well as monologues ranging from Marguerite Yourcenar to Salvatore Di Giacomo.
