Biography
He began his acting career with the 1984 film College.
Over the years, he has worked across film, advertising, and television with some of Italy’s most prominent directors, including Dino Risi, Giuseppe Tornatore, and Alessandro D’Alatri.
In 2002, he made his theatre debut as both author and performer, creating ten productions that toured throughout Italy (see detailed theatre bio below). On television, he hosted Assolo, a comedy showcase broadcast on La7, as well as live segments for Quelli del Calcio. He later collaborated as a writer for Rosario Fiorello and became a regular guest on The Fiorello Show.
From 2011, he hosted the television program Cuochi & Fiamme on La7d for five seasons, as well as Conosco un posticino on Dove TV. Beginning in 2017, he created and hosted I miei vinili, broadcast on Sky, RaiTre, RaiUno, and RaiPlay.
In 2019, he hosted the cult program Battute? on Rai Due.
He has published three books: Pagine Rossi (Mondadori), Alla mia età (Baldini Castoldi Dalai), and Così Rossi che più Rossi non si può (Cairo).
As of January 2026, he is on air on Rai1 (and RaiPlay) with I miei vinili.
