Federico Mecozzi's tribute to Franco Battiato
On May 29, Traiettorie impercettibili (Imperceptible Trajectories), Federico Mecozzi’s new album dedicated to the musical universe of Franco Battiato, was released. A violinist, composer, and long-time collaborator of Ludovico Einaudi, Mecozzi reinterprets some of the Maestro’s most iconic works through a predominantly instrumental language that is both personal and contemporary.
Warmly received by the Franco Battiato Foundation and enriched by contributions from Morgan, Simone Cristicchi, Juri Camisasca, and Thea Crudi, the album revisits songs such as La cura (The Cure), Gli uccelli (The Birds), Voglio vederti danzare (I Want to See You Dance), and Il re del mondo (The King of the World), transforming a tribute into a living dialogue with one of the most significant artistic legacies in Italian music.
