Stewart Copeland, legendary founder and drummer of The Police, presents Police Deranged For Orchestra, an orchestral work in which he revisits the iconic songs of the band that made music history in an entirely new way.

Drawing on his extensive experience as a composer for opera, orchestral music and ballet, Copeland reimagines The Police’s greatest hits in a powerful and unprecedented symphonic experience.

In these concerts, Copeland offers a fresh perspective on classics such as Roxanne, Don't Stand So Close To Me and Message In A Bottle, joined by a talented ensemble of musicians and a 27-piece orchestra. The result is a high-energy evening that traces the epic rise of his musical career and unfolds across four decades of artistic achievement.

The idea for this project emerged while Stewart Copeland was working on the soundtrack for a film about The Police. The cinematic context required a different approach to the music, leading him to rethink and reshape these celebrated pop songs.

As he analyzed and deconstructed The Police’s music to fit the film’s narrative, Copeland discovered a new source of inspiration, transforming these tracks into a unique and compelling orchestral experience.
