UNTITLED BLACK - VALSE - GRAND FINALE

Untitled Black - Valse - Grand Finale

Created in 2012 for the Gothenburg Opera Dance Company, in collaboration with eight dancers from Batsheva Dance Company, Untitled Black bears the signature of Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar, the acclaimed artistic duo renowned for blending contemporary dance, classical sensibility and techno culture into performances of striking visual and emotional impact.
In Valse, created in 2017 for Danish Dance Theatre, Marcos Morau weaves together a succession of dreamlike images to create a meditation on the absurd. The dancers move between still poses and refined gestures, within a geometric structure of extraordinary precision.
The programme concludes with Grand Finale, created by Hofesh Shechter for Théâtre de La Villette in Paris in 2017. One of the most acclaimed and innovative choreographers and composers on the international scene, Shechter portrays a world caught in its own contradictions, suspended between collapse and resistance, as it struggles in vain to escape its tragic fate.
