Play Gershwin
Enrico Pieranunzi – piano
Gabriele Pieranunzi – violin
Gabriele Mirabassi – clarinet
Among the greatest jazz pianists in the world, Enrico Pieranunzi presents a journey into the Gershwinian repertoire, with also some personal arrangements in a show that celebrates the American composer’s jazz/classical fusion. “An American in Paris” and “Rhapsody in Blue” for example are offered to the public in chamber versions capable, thanks to the passionate work of transcription operated by Pieranunzi, to maintain all the charm and energy of the original versions.
A jazz show not to be missed.
Blues, baroque and much more, an eclectic activity in which pianism, composition and arrangement are inextricably intertwined and which has often seen him also engaged as an author in film and theater music. This is the boundless musical world of Enrico Pieranunzi, one of the most versatile musicians on the European music scene, in whose very particular sound adventure jazz and classical have coexisted side by side right from the start. In this project accompanied by two great artists: Gabriele Pieranunzi, first violinist of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, and Gabriele Mirabassi, one of the most popular jazz clarinetist in the world.
