Biography

In 1962, the Grand Théâtre de Genève established a permanent ballet company made up of 22 artists, presenting two original choreographies each season.
Working with internationally renowned choreographers, the Ballet has been directed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui since the 2022–2023 season.
World premieres always take place in Geneva, before the productions continue on tour throughout the rest of the season outside Switzerland, performing in countries such as France, Italy, the United States, Russia, Australia, China, Brazil, South Africa, and many others.
