THE BIOGRAFIA

DEPRODUCERS

Biography

Planetario, the first chapter of the project, dates back to 2012 and combines music with space lectures by astrophysicist and director of the Milan Planetarium Fabio Peri. The experience is enriched by original images provided by the ESA for the performance.
Botanica, the second chapter, was created in 2016 and builds an organic and immersive soundtrack around the astonishing revelations on the secret life of plants, narrated with scientific rigor by Stefano Mancuso, one of the world’s leading neurobiologists.
Both performances feature visual creations by Marino Capitanio and stage design by Peter Bottazzi.
The idea behind Deproducers was born from Vittorio Cosma, who decided to involve some of the musicians he most admired in a project capable of bringing music and science together.
One morning, he walked into the Milan Planetarium, where he met its director Fabio Peri, a scientist with a significant musical background. An immediate connection was established and the professor was instantly drawn into the project: this marked the birth of Planetario.
The astrophysicist guides audiences through the wonders of the cosmos and the mystery of its origins, constellations and their mythology, and the relationship between humankind and infinity, all conveyed through an extraordinary ability to engage audiences with a simple and accessible language.
Alongside him, the four producers create a live sonic landscape that transports listeners directly into the heart of the celestial vault, turning the concert into a true intergalactic journey.
During a public event organized by Aboca in 2015, Vittorio Cosma met Stefano Mancuso. Once again, an immediate sense of affinity led to the creation of Botanica. The neurobiologist studies the communication systems of plants, investigating their behavior through rigorous scientific methods.

Surrounded by synchronized projections created by Marino Capitanio, the musicians accompany the journey with pulsating and immersive sound worlds that amplify the scientist’s narrative and captivate the audience.
