Biography

Twenty years after the release of Okumuki, the album that marked both her debut and first major breakthrough, L’Aura celebrated this milestone with two exclusive anniversary concerts. Accompanied by the Gnu Quartet, she performed the album in its entirety, bringing it back to the stage for the first time in fifteen years in its most complete and faithful form. The special performances took place on 24 April 2026 at the Blue Note in Milan and on 30 April 2026 at Sala Umberto in Rome.

Released in the early 2000s, Okumuki quickly became a defining album of its era, capturing the sensibilities of a generation through a deeply personal, intense and unmistakable songwriting voice. It was a debut that balanced fragility and vision, introspection and international influences, laying the foundations for L’Aura’s artistic journey.
Songs such as Irraggiungibile have stood the test of time, remaining firmly embedded in the collective memory while continuing to resonate with new listeners discovering them today.
