Organized by the Department of Education, Culture and Identity Policies of the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta, with the support of Fondazione CRT – Cassa di Risparmio di Torino and developed with the project and production contribution of IMARTS – International Music And Arts, Saison Culturelle once again confirms itself, in its 2025/2026 edition, as one of the most significant and widely attended cultural events in Valle d’Aosta.
With the sold-out concert by Goran Bregović, the Spectacle section of the season officially came to a close, marking the conclusion of an edition that recorded strong audience engagement and steadily growing participation.
Preliminary figures confirm a positive trend, with nearly 26,500 total attendees overall, including 15,414 for the Spectacle section alone, alongside a significant increase in subscriptions, demonstrating increasingly solid audience loyalty.
The Spectacle programme received wide acclaim, with numerous sold-out performances confirming both the quality of the artistic proposal and the festival’s ability to engage diverse audiences while maintaining a coherent and recognizable cultural identity.
The season opened with Gioachino Rossini’s opera The Barber of Seville, which brought the orchestra pit of Teatro Splendor back to life with outstanding results for both performances. Alongside this major highlight, the season crossed genres and artistic languages — from theatre to music, dance to variety entertainment — confirming the multidisciplinary vocation of the festival.
Among the most appreciated events were Perfetti sconosciuti, L’inferiorità mentale della donna, Eric Waddell & The Abundant Life Gospel Singers, Eugenio Finardi, La mia vita raccontata male, Forte e Chiara, together with many other performances that contributed to shaping a rich, diverse and deeply engaging season.
Once again, the contribution of the Open Calls proved essential, enhancing the local artistic fabric by giving visibility to regional artists and projects while strengthening the dialogue between local productions and the national and international scene.
The Department of Education, Culture and Identity Policies announces that the open call for the next season is now officially open, with the aim of promoting and supporting performing arts projects from Valle d’Aosta and completing the Spectacle programme for Saison Culturelle 2026/2027.
The call is addressed exclusively to artists from Valle d’Aosta and will select four artistic projects to be included in next season’s programme. Eligible proposals may belong to different artistic fields, including theatre (in Italian or French), dance, classical music, pop and contemporary music. In addition, one performance in Francoprovençal (patois) will be selected for presentation between January 30 and 31, 2027 during the Fiera di Sant’Orso.
The selection committee, coordinated by IMARTS, will consist of the company’s Head of Cultural Projects, an expert with proven experience in the organization of music festivals and the Artistic Director responsible for supervising the cultural project of Saison Culturelle 2026/2027.
Participation is free of charge and proposals must be submitted between May 1 and May 31, 2026 to: opencall.vda@legalmail.it
The application guidelines and submission form will be available from Friday, May 1, 2026 on the website: www.saisonculturellevda.it
