ERI CON ME: ALICE CANTA BATTIATO

Eri con me: Alice canta Battiato

The special occasion of the 80th anniversary of Franco Battiato’s birth has inspired this renewed tribute.
Alice presents Eri con me – Alice canta Battiato in a unique performance in Rome on July 26, 2026, as part of the Roma Summer Fest, at the Cavea of Parco della Musica (9:00 PM), accompanied by the distinguished ensemble I Solisti Aquilani and the essential presence of Carlo Guaitoli on piano and as conductor.
It was precisely from the collaboration between Alice and Carlo Guaitoli that the studio album Eri con me (Arecibo/BMG, 2022) was born, featuring sixteen songs by Franco Battiato. These versions, acclaimed by both critics and audiences, earned Alice the Targa Tenco in 2023 as Best Performer.
The related tour Eri con me – Alice canta Battiato has reached more than 100 concerts to date, with as many sold-out performances.
The setlist includes many songs from the album itself — including lesser-known pieces such as Da Oriente a Occidente and Sui giardini della preesistenza — alongside long-standing highlights from Alice’s live and recording repertoire, such as La cura. The updated repertoire naturally features songs born during their intense collaboration, which began in 1980: Per Elisa, their duets including I treni di Tozeur, as well as more recent songs written by Battiato specifically for her, such as Veleni and Eri con me, which gives the album and tour their title.
With her unique vocal personality and an ever-evolving artistic journey, Alice once again becomes a vessel for the music of Franco Battiato.
Much of this long journey through singer-songwriter music is captured in the book L’unica via d’uscita è dentro, the autobiography written by Alice in collaboration with Francesco Messina, recently published by Rizzoli Lizard.
