In November 2021, during the recording sessions for the eleventh album by Marlene Kuntz in the province of Cuneo, Cristiano Godano and Alessandro 'Asso' Stefana — working alongside producer Taketo Gohara — discovered a deep shared passion for Neil Young, united by a genuine connection to his poetics and musical language.
From this affinity came the idea for a small concert organized for the local community hosting the artistic residency.
The emotional power of that evening convinced the two artists to transform the experiment into a broader project and bring it on tour throughout Italy.
The result is a performance inspired by the sonic pathways of Neil Young — an experience of refined intimacy dedicated to exploring the artist’s musical universe. Not a tribute act, but rather an act of love built upon devotion to great music and emotional exchange with the audience.
Young’s timeless songs — from Heart of Gold to Harvest Moon, from Old Man to Comes a Time — intertwine with tracks from Godano’s solo album Mi ero perso il cuore (2021), made even more evocative through Asso Stefana’s presence and sound.
Starting in 2026, the show’s direction will be entrusted to a major artistic figure whose name will be revealed soon, shaping the narrative around a personality as influential as Neil Young himself.
The performance offers audiences a journey between memory and the present: those already familiar with Neil Young will rediscover his essence through the sensitivity and respect of the two musicians, while newcomers will recognize the same authenticity that defines the artistic worlds of Godano and Asso.
