PINOCCHIO

Pinocchio

“Ready or not, here I come!”
It was a magic phrase — a cry shouted after an exhausting sprint, finally reaching the corner of the street. It freed all the players in a childhood game — one that, I believe, still exists today.
It is from this childhood memory that Pinocchio – Free Everyone! is born.
The idea is that a character from one story can set others free — and then others still. A game of fantastic tales that become real and possible the very moment Bustric tells and performs them.
A blend of magic, pantomime, storytelling, and music. It is remarkable how naturally these elements harmonize: what better place than a fairy tale for magic, or a more fitting home than music for pantomime?
Bustric narrates and astonishes — while being astonished himself. The practice of wonder is the true purpose of this performance.
Adult audiences need only let themselves go and believe that anything is possible. Children, by nature, find it easier to believe in fairy tales — yet it will be the adults, once they fully enter the game, who will be most deeply moved and profoundly delighted.
The story of Pinocchio, told largely through the music of Fiorenzo Carpi — originally composed for Luigi Comencini’s film — forms the central core from which new small and great adventures emerge.
Together with the two extraordinary pianists Paola Biondi and Debora Brunialti, Bustric guides us into a whirlwind world filled with passion, invention, and surprise.
