Bio
Inti-Illimani (1967) is a compound name that comes from the Quechua Inti and the Aymara Illimani and means 'Sun of a mountain near La Paz, Bolivia'. The band, composed from the beginning by a group of young students of the Technical University of the State of Chile, was born within the movement called `` The New Chilean Song '' which developed between 1965 and 1973. Since 1973 they settle in Europe, exactly in Italy. Since the 1980s their career has stood out for many successes, reaching the top places in the Italian ranking and collecting countless Gold and Platinum records. Inti-Illimani boasts millions of records sold all over the world, with presentations and concerts in more than 58 countries. The band shared the stage and played with artists of great importance such as Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, John Williams, Paco Peña, Mercedes Sosa, Silvio Rodríguez, Milton Nascimento, Danielle Silvestre, Lucio Dalla, Pablo Milanés, Francesca Gagnon, Arja Saijonmaa, Holly Near, Joan Baez, Marta Gómez, Isabel Parra, Georgina Hassan, Víctor Heredia, among others, playing in the most renowned stages around the world. In 2017 the Chilean band celebrated 50 years of uninterrupted artistic career, an anniversary celebrated with a tour to Chile and with two sold out concerts at the Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago.
GIULIO WILSON
Giulio Wilson, a Florentine singer-songwriter, alternates his passion for music with his activity as an oenologist and wine producer in Tuscany. His artistic career was inaugurated with the album ``Soli Nel Midwest``, produced by Enzo Iacchetti. He has collaborated with many artists, including Vinicio Capossela, Roberto Piumini, Bobby Solo, Roy Paci, with I musici di Francesco Guccini, and with the Inti-Illimani, in fact.
Wilson has received numerous prestigious awards: “Resistant material 2.0; the Targa Mei in 2017 as ``Best singer-songwriter``; in the same year the artist won the BMA Bologna Musica d’Autore competition. In 2018, the absolute Anacapri Bruno Lauzi award, and, in 2019, the Bertoli Award; the Critics' Award at the Voices for Freedom - A Song for Amnesty 2019 competition; wins the 1Maggio Next2019 contest and performs on the stage of the May Day Concert in Rome. In 2018, the Ep ``Future Remote`` was released; this year he released the album ``True Stories between Trees and Cats``, a collection of songs ``out of time``.
