VIA DELLE MONDINE 6, 41012 CARPI (MO) ITALY

TONY HADLEY, one of the most renowned male voices in the world, after the celebratory tour of his 40-year career, sold out in all Italian stages, returns with Mad About you, a new show in which, in addition to his faithful The Fabulous TH Band, will be accompanied by the extraordinary BRUNO MADERNA orchestra, directed by Maestro DANILO ROSSI.

“It is always nice to return to Italy and I am honored to be accompanied for the first time by the Bruno Maderna orchestra, conducted by Maestro Danilo Rossi. Hearing my new songs, the historical ones and the cult ones that have always accompanied me take new life thanks to the orchestra is magical!” – comments Tony Hadley.

The tour, which will also pass by the marvelous Teatro Romano of Ostia Antica on 25 June, will be an opportunity to celebrate one of the most authoritative voices of pop, now on the crest of the wave for 4 decades, which saw his debut with the New Romantic, interpreting over the years cult songs by Spandau Ballet such as the epic “Through the Barricades”, the number one song of all the international charts “True”, and the unofficial anthem of the London Olympics “Gold” .
On this trip to the peninsula, Tony will therefore perform iconic songs from the period in which he was with Spandau Ballet, but also his solo songs, without forgetting some iconic covers, and all in a renewed guise embellished by the orchestral arrangement.

Italy has always been one of the most loved countries by Tony Hadley, a love that is reciprocated. After various collaborations with Italian artists (with Caparezza in “Goodbye Malinconia”, with Nina Zilli in “The fair tales of New York”), in 2019 he has been a guest at the Sanremo Festival, accompanying Arisa, in the competition, in the song “Mi sento well”, and recently at Propaganda Live on La Sette, where he performed “Through the Barricades” and the brand new “Obvious”.

As a soloist, Tony has given concerts around the world, both with his own band, swing bands, and large orchestras. In 2005 he was awarded the Gold Badge by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters; in 2007 he won over a large group of new fans by appearing in the musical Chicago as Billy Flynn in New York’s West End theaters. “Talking To The Moon”, his latest studio album, dated 2018 (2019 for the Italian market) was album of the week on Radio BBC2, and the first single “Tonight Belongs To Us” Single of the week. In 2021 “Obvious” was released, written with Mick Lister, also in the top playlist of BBC2. For years, Tony Hadley has presented the BBC3 Counties Radio Sunday morning show. In December 2019 he was awarded the Queen’s New Year’s Honors List for his charity work for the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice.
